Challenge

The City of Kingfisher needed a modern, engaging website that would better represent the community as a thriving, forward-thinking Oklahoma city. The existing site lacked visual impact, streamlined navigation, and flexible administrative tools for staff.

City leadership also wanted to better promote Kingfisher as both a destination and a place to live, highlighting assets such as downtown, the airport, the aquatic center, Frisco Park, and the Visitors Bureau. In addition, the city required improved security, easier content management, and a stronger visual identity that could extend beyond the website into signage, vehicles, and promotional materials.

Solution

Back40 Design redeveloped the City of Kingfisher’s website from the ground up using WordPress and Elementor, creating a flexible, secure, and easy-to-manage platform for city staff.

We designed an intuitive site structure with prominent quick links to ensure residents can easily access essential information, services, and forms. New dedicated pages showcase key community assets, including Downtown Kingfisher, the Kingfisher Airport, the Aquatic Center, and Frisco Park, positioning the city as vibrant and visitor-friendly.

To enhance engagement and authenticity, the site incorporates new professional photography and an embedded, actively maintained Facebook feed to keep residents informed in real time.

As part of the project, Back40 also developed a clean, modern logo that visually highlights Kingfisher’s location within Kingfisher County. The new mark establishes a recognizable brand identity that extends across digital platforms, city signage, vehicles, and promotional materials, creating long-term brand consistency.
