Challenge
The Edmond Chamber needed a website that would support a wide variety of stakeholders, from businesses and small business owners to residents and community members, while serving multiple functions: membership management, event coordination, community outreach, a business directory, a job board, advocacy/legislative tools, and more. The site had to present complex information clearly and in a navigable way, and support ongoing updates without clutter or confusion.
Solution
Back40 Design built a comprehensive, modular website with a clear and intuitive information architecture. We created distinct sections (Who We Are, What We Do, Membership, Events, Members, Community Resources, Publications) to organize content logically. We built member tools (post a job, post a promotion, post news), directories, a dynamic events calendar, publication archives, advocacy resources, and community-facing pages – all integrated into a unified, branded, easy-to-navigate site. The design balances professional branding with community-oriented warmth, with prominent calls to action (join, contact, post, connect) and easy access for different user types.
Result
The new site became a central digital hub for the Chamber’s operations, enabling over 1,000 members to gain visibility, post updates, access resources, and network. It supports ongoing community engagement (events, advocacy, outreach), helps position Edmond as a desirable place to live and do business, and enhances the Chamber’s ability to fulfill its mission as “the voice for business.” The clear structure and modern design likely increased engagement, helped with member recruitment and retention, and improved communications internally and externally.
