The best part of our job is working with clients from all over the US to produce great websites. We get to meet owners and marketing teams, help discover what makes their business unique and put everything we learn together into a beautiful and useful website for them.
And this site just happened to be the 3rd in a lineup.
Julie C. of Barnstormer’s Grill & Event Center says, “After two previous successful website projects with Back40, we reached out to them to assist us with a complete redo of the website for our restaurant, Barnstormer’s Grill and Event Center. In addition to updating the site with a fresh and clean look, we also wanted to highlight our catering and event space.”
Barnstormer’s Grill & Event Center is a unique destination restaurant. Located at the Peach State Aerodrome in Georgia, Barnstormer’s serves burgers, steaks, sandwiches, seafood and more from the grill while customers marvel at the vintage and modern-day airplanes take off and land on the airstrip just outside.
Who else can say their last customer just flew in to grab a bite to eat? That’s an everyday occurrence for Barnstormer’s.
In addition to its aviation-themed restaurant and full bar, Barnstormer’s also serves as a full-service event center, hosting groups from 20 – 350 for galas, weddings, banquets, holiday parties and other special events.
“The Back40 team listened to what we wanted and came back to us with a design and layout that hit the mark: a sharp look that still incorporated the restaurant’s elements of vintage aviation; a custom interior page that shined the spotlight on our event space and catering capabilities; and an easy-to-use content management system via WordPress, giving our not-so-technical team a user-friendly way to make updates and changes to the site. As usual, Back40 made the website process simple from conceptualization to launch,” Julie continues.
The new website captures the spirit of aviation in the design as the plane propellers spin while you scroll down the page. The clear, easy to find navigation makes it simple for a visitor to find the information they need.
And, the site is just as easy to use for our clients. For this website, we utilized WordPress because it’s extensible and the client was familiar working in it (the other 2 sites we’ve created together are also using WordPress).
In addition to the custom website theme, we designed and developed a custom page for events. It utilizes a distinct layout, different than the other interior pages to highlight the different packages, services and uses for the event center. As Barnstormer’s Event Center continues to grow, our clients will be able to easily use the plugins we’ve set up to add custom forms, event listings, and galleries… on the fly.
