Tuesday evening, OKCBiz presented me with the Top Forty Under 40 award in recognition of my career and philanthropy achievements. At the age of 29, I can honestly say I never dreamed of such a tremendous honor. Not only is there a beautiful award now sitting in my new office, but the $5,000 scholarship to the OCU Meinders School of Business is a terrific opportunity.
I wanted to thank the many clients, co-workers, and community members who have been so kind as to email or call congratulating me. We even ran into several of our clients at the awards ceremony, which was a lot of fun!
I would like to thank my family and friends for supporting me at all times, as well as my co-workers for taking time out of their evening to attend the awards banquet. It meant so very much to me to be surrounded by those who work so diligently making Back40 Design Group and the Edmond Outlook such a continued success. I could have never achieved this honor without each and every one of you.
Of course I also thank the owners, Dave and Sandy Miller, who nominated me for this accolade many months ago. Loving your job is a true blessing – but working for individuals who recognize your achievements and help mentor your growth is enough of an honor in and of itself.
