Although
Back40 is a website design company, we don’t only spend our days behind a desk staring at a computer. We understand the importance of being involved and up to date with what is going on in the community.
A couple days ago, two of our own attended a luncheon hosted by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) concerning nonprofit and corporate collaboration—a topic we hold very close to our hearts here at Back40.
“I’ve heard people say, working with nonprofits is a good way to start your business, but not a good way to grow your business – I wholeheartedly disagree,” Back40 Design President, Dave Miller, says. “We’ve always worked with
nonprofits. They’ve been a constant at Back40. Over the past 13 years, we’ve built and hosted well over 100 nonprofits projects. We’re lucky to have worked with so many; they are the best clients because they are so passionate about what they do. Hopefully in some small way we’ve made a difference by working with them.”
The guest speaker, Daniel Billingsley of The Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, said it best when he made a comparison between a community and the human body: education is the brain, corporations are the muscles and nonprofits serve as the heart. In order to survive, every aspect needs to work together to find a rhythm. When that rhythm is found and each entity brings to the table their strengths, a perfect collaboration is made.
Our nonprofit clients that we have had the pleasure of collaborating with have made a significant impact on the lives of many Oklahomans. Some of those clients we spotted at the luncheon.
Whether you’re a massive oil and gas company located in 50 story skyscraper in downtown OKC or a 15-person website design company located in a 4 story building in Edmond, every company has the responsibility to give back to the community.
We collaborate with nonprofits and bring our strengths to the table. We are in awe of the amazing impact our nonprofit clients have made within our community, and applaud the countless of hours spent reaching that goal. We are proud to be their partner.
Some of our other nonprofit projects include:
Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park, Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma and Oklahoma Museum Association
